Hawkins Co.Tennessee walnut slant top desk with two sections, poplar and yellow pine secondary wood. Upper case doors open to reveal a center section with one vertical-shaped divider (one missing) flanked by a set of six cubbyholes each side. Lower section with a hinged slant front lid revealing an open compartment. Turned and tapered legs ending in a tapered spike. 52" x 27.25" x 19.5". Mid-19th century.

CONDITION: Older refinish with ink stains to top of upper case, missing vertical divider inside upper case, missing lock on lower desk. Doors with horizontal shrinkage to upper case section, leaving a gap between doors.
