Large Middle Tennessee cherry corner cupboard, poplar primary. Single case construction with an ogee and dentil molded cornice, canted and molded edge sides, two glazed eight-pane upper doors enclosing four shelves, one central dovetailed drawer with a cockbeaded and lapped edge above two paneled lower doors enclosing two shelves. Bracket foot base with spur returns and a straight skirt. Doors, central drawer, and lower doors fitted with brass pulls. 96" H x 50" W x 20" D. Circa 1820.
PROVENANCE: Previously from the collection of former antique dealers Jane and John Luna from Columbia, TN, descended in the family.
CONDITION: Refinished surface with general age and use-related wear. The left cornice return is missing. Glazed panes have later added putty for stability.
