Five (5) Japanese Meiji Satsuma miniature pottery vases with polychrome enamel decoration and gilt highlights, including: one pair of meiping form vases with foliate, bird, and butterfly decoration and maker’s seal mark to the base; one pair of meiping from vases with figural landscape vignette decoration and character mark to the base rim; and one bottle form vase with flattened body and figural landscape decoration, Shuzan maker’s mark to the base. Ranging in size from 2 3/8″ H x 3 1/2″ H. Late 19th/early 20th century.
CONDITION: Pair of vases with bird, butterfly, and foliate decoration have small chips to rims. All other pieces are in overall very good condition.
