Southern, likely Kentucky, walnut inlaid corner cupboard, poplar secondary. One piece construction with canted sides; consisting of a molded cove cornice over two paneled doors having string inlay. Inlay with two semicircular lengths intersecting ninety degrees at corners to form an inset "petal" design. Upper section with two interior shelves transitioning to a central dovetailed drawer with lapped molded edge above two inlaid panel doors with tombstone design. Interior with two shelves, all resting on shaped bracket feet with returns. Pegged construction throughout. 92 1/2" H x 49" W x 27" D. Circa 1820.
PROVENANCE: The living estate of Dr. Jerry Waters, Maryville, TN.
CONDITION: Cornice and bracket feet facings are older replacements. Base rear support replaced.
