Large French gilt bronze allegorical figural sculpture after Jean-Louis Gregoire (French, 1840 – 1890) titled “Two Vestals Burning Love Letters”. Depicting two Classically-dressed females, one standing with a letter in her hand, and the other seated with letters in her lap and holding a letter over a lamp flame. 21 in. H x 16 1/4 in. W x 8 3/4 in. D. 20th century.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with some light wear to the top of the base. Possibly with later reguilding.
