John Baeder (American, b. 1938) conceptual etching, serigraph, and collage, “The Mail Order House,” 1980. The composition juxtaposes an etched photographic image of a house, a printed architectural blueprint or floor plan of the same house, and a collaged wallpaper fragment that depicts a house and flowers. Signed, dated, and editioned “A.P.” in pencil, lower margin. Floated under plexiglass in a modern wooden frame with white mat. Sheet: 41 in H x 29 in W. Frame: 45 in H x 32 3/4 in W.
PROVENANCE: The estates of Walter and Dr. Mary Schatz, Nashville
CONDITION: Overall very good condition, with minor waviness and a few scattered specks of foxing. Negligible, very faint toning to edges of sheet. Not examined out of frame.
