Everett Raymond Kinstler (American, 1926-2019) charcoal portrait drawing or study depicting the head of a beautiful woman. Signed lower right and dated 1953, along with a pencil inscription, "To Charles Martignette with friendship – Ray Kinstler 1989." Matted under plexiglass in a black frame with silvered sight edge. Sight: 12 1/4" H x 10 1/2" W. Frame: 23" H x 20" W.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Gary R. Haynes.
CONDITION: Approx. 6" crease or repaired tear at left edge, extending through subject''s hair. 3" tear (possibly repaired), lower left corner in background. Small dark smudge upper right edge. Not examined out of frame.
