Tadashi Nakayama (Japan, 1927-2014) woodblock print with gold and silver leaf titled Ema (I) and depicting a colorful, saddled horse with decorative background and border, 1983. From the Ema series. Signed, dated, and numbered 49/85, lower margin. Housed under plexiglass in a giltwood frame with white fabric mat and gilt reveal. Sight: 25 1/4″ H x 18 1/2″ W. Framed: 36″ H x 29″ W. Lot also includes a copy of Kappy Hendricks, TADASHI NAKAYAMA: HIS LIFE AND WORK (Bethesda, MD: Irongate Editions Limited, 1982).
PROVENANCE: A Middle Tennessee estate.
CONDITION: Excellent condition. Not examined outside of frame.
