Arthur Meltzer (Pennsylvania/Minnesota, 1893-1989) oil on canvas still life painting entitled "Eggs and Onion Reflections" and depicting eggs, onions, and a glass jar filled with clear liquid, all set atop a reflective tray and before a red and green background. Signed "Arthur Meltzer," lower right. With Woodmere Gallery (now Woodmere Art Museum), Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia PA label affixed to stretcher. Housed in a painted and gilt wood frame designed and carved by the artist, with incised monogram. Canvas: 12" H x 14" W. Frame: 19 11/16" H x 21 11/16" W.
PROVENANCE: Woodmere Gallery, Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Frame with flaking and loss to paint along exterior edges, especially right edge.
