Jim Dine (American, b. 1935) lithograph on wove paper, “Dine in Black Grease,” 2000. Dine, shown as a portrait head, wears glasses and a long scarf as he looks to the veiwer’s right. Pronounced shadows surround the top and left side of his head. Published by Tamarind Institue and printed by Billl Lagattuta. Signed, dated, and numbered 70/95 in red pencil along lower edge. With adhered vertical stips of wove paper at left and right. Floated under plexiglass in a wooden frame with white mount. Sheet: 39 in H x 34 in W. Frame: 36 3/4 in W x 41 1/2 in H.
PROVENANCE: The estates of Walter and Dr. Mary Schatz, Nashville.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Not examined out of frame.
