Early Gorham Manufacturing Company coin silver tea service, circa 1860s, comprised of three (3) pieces, including a teapot, coffee pot, and cream pot. All with pear-shaped bodies having engraved and repousse decoration of grape clusters and vines to the body, chased cartouche decoration to the lobed rim of lids and rims, naturalistic branch vine handles, and three-dimensional floral and leaf finials to the hinged lids. Each piece engraved with a three-letter monogram to one side and dated "June 27, 1843 – June 27, 1868". All stamped on the base with the early Gorham mark, an anchor flanked by both a lion and a letter "G" and additionally numbered 20. Ranging in size from 7" H to 10 1/2" H. Combined weight: 91.915 total troy ounces.

PROVENANCE: The Collection of Dr. Joe Newsom Rawlings, Davisboro, Georgia.

CONDITION: All pieces engraved and in overall good condition with light wear including surface scratching. Floral final to cream pot is attached but loose.
