Laszlo Ispanky (Hungarian-American, 1919-2010) bronze sculpture, titled “The Creation”. Signed, dated ’76 and numbered 15/25 on base. 20 in. H x 20 in. W x 12 in. D. Biography: Laszlo Ispanky emigrated to the U.S. during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. He was awarded a Fellowship to the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Deerfield, Michigan to teach and study sculpting. In 1960 he became the master sculptor for Cybis Porcelains and six years later he left to start his own company. During his career he created numerous sculptures for official presentations to heads of state. “Let There Be Light” was commissioned by the Knights of Malta and presented to Egyptian President Anwar Sadat.
