Three (3) United States Silver or Gold Certificates. 1st item: 1899 $5 "Indian Chief" Blue Seal silver certificate, depicting the portrait of Ta-to-ka-in-yan-ka, also known as Running Antelope (1821-1896), Chief of the Hunkpapa Sioux, obverse, Roman numeral "V" in the center, printed in green, reverse. Serial # N42813581. FR # 280. Elliot/White signatures. Note: Engraved by George Frederick Cumming Smillie (District of Columbia, 1854-1924), this is the only issue of U.S. paper money that included a Native American as the central portrait. 2nd item: 1906 $20 Gold Seal gold certificate, depicting the portrait of George Washington (1732-1799), obverse, the Great Seal of the United States in the center, printed in orange, reverse. Serial # H7611623. FR # 1185. Parker/Burke signatures. 3rd item: 1922 $10 Gold Seal gold certificate, depicting the portrait of Michael Hillegas (1729-1804), the first Treasurer of the United States, obverse, the Great Seal of the United States surrounded by sun rays in the center, printed in orange, reverse. Serial # H9525366. FR # 1173. Speelman/White signatures. All items housed under double sided glass and matted in identical wooden frames. Sights: 3" H x 7 1/4" W. Frames: 8 1/4" H x 12 1/2" W.
