The antique Ersari Turkmen Ensi tribal rug has a traditional central cruciform design with four panels with bird’s head designs, within two primary borders and one lower or upper border. Woven in red, blue, and cream colors. 5 ft. 5 in. x 4 ft. 2 in. Circa 1880.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Some areas of fading, wear to the border, and losses to fringe.
