Wrought iron garden trellis, attributed to Philip Kerrigan of Nashville, designed as a vine with delicate tendrils and three arms for holding small potted plants. Note: The trellis is designed to be mounted to a wall, not inserted in the ground. 62 in H x 39 in W x 8 in D. Note: James Philip Kerrigan, Jr. founded Kerrigan Iron Works in Nashville, TN in 1929. Kerrigan designed many of the gardens gates, exterior light fixtures and staircase, among other items, for Cheekwood Mansion located in Nashville.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Moderate wear and oxidation commensurate with outdoor use, particularly to lowermost end where some corrosion and small area of loss to metal has occurred.
