Pedro Friedeberg (Mexican, b. 1936) “Two Heads and Twelve Hands” Clock, gilt and painted wood with mixed media. Twelve molded hands, each with an increasing number of fingers extended (one through twelve), encircle the clock face. Clock face is hinged to accept a battery. Signed on underside of proper left foot. 17 1/2 in H.
PROVENANCE: Private Memphis collection.
CONDITION: Both heads appear to have been broken and reattached. One with fine cracking to back of head. Scattered minor wear. Clock functionality not guaranteed.
