English sterling silver 4 piece tea service plus an associated Barker Ellis silverplated tray, all early 20th century. Tea set includes teapot, coffee pot, open sugar and creamer, each piece of oblong form with ribbed sides and reeded feet, gadroon edges, and reeded or squared wood handles; the pots with wood finials, creamer and sugar with gilt interiors. Each piece hallmarked for Hawksworth, Eyre & Co., Sterling, Sheffield, 1911-12, except for teapot which has date mark for 1904-1905 (same maker). The silverplated tray has an oblong form with reticulated border, acanthus overlay at the rolled handles, four bun feet, engraved armorial, and menorah hallmark for Ellis Barker Silver Co. Coffee pot height: 8 3/4 inches. Tray: 24 in. x 14 1/4 in. (including handles. Combined weight of tea set (including pieces with wood handles): 58.43 oz troy.

CONDITION:
Tea set: overall very good condition with some wear to handles and finials. Finials loose. Coffee pot includes a linen strainer liner. Tea set not monogrammed. Tray: some scratching and spots of wear, including to engraved armorial.
