Norman Perceval Rockwell (New York/Massachusetts, 1894-1978) offset lithograph in colors depicting a bust-length portrait of President Kennedy, with Rockwell''s name in block letters in the plate, lower right. On wove paper with deckled lower edge and publisher''s information printed in lower margin. Pencil signed and numbered 258/2500, lower margin. With blue, leather-grained American Heritage Graphics booklet with presidential seal and artist''s name on cover and containing a reproduction of a Rockwell letter concerning the portrait along with a note to the collector, plus a similar but larger display portfolio with interior corner fasteners. Lot also includes a certificate of authenticity which states that the print is a driograph (a form of lithography) produced by Jeffries Banknote Company in 1976 and signed by Lawrence L. Jeffries of Jeffries Banknote Company and Robert A. Drew, Director, American Heritage Graphics, along with a 1980 American Heritage Graphics letter stating that "no more than 2,550 impressions of the prints were pulled" of which "228 were signed by the artist," signed by Robert F. Drew (by then the former Director of American Heritage Graphics) and additionally signed and dated March 11, 1980, by a Los Angeles County Notary Public. Unframed. Sheet: 19 3/4" H x 15" W. CONDITION: Overall very good condition, with negligible toning to edges of lithograph.
