American mid 19th Century Coin Silver Ewer or Pitcher, with elaborate chased and repousse floral scroll decoration, cartouche under spout engraved “Presented to L_M by CWM.” Raised on a circular foot with acanthus banding and having an acanthus overlaid C scroll handle. Impressed marks JONES BALL & POOR and PURE COIN to underside (marks used Boston, circa 1846-1853). 11 3/4 in H. x 6 in Diameter. 19.34 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: Private Georgia collection.
CONDITION: A few scattered shallow dents, overall very good condition.
