1st item: Japanese Meiji period inlaid rectangular bronze box, comprised of three stacking sections and having domed top with mixed metal butterfly, dragonfly and foliate decoration. Incised signature to the base. Conforming bronze cage included with the box, perhaps used as a cricket cage. Box – 3" H x 4" W x 2 3/4" D. Cage – 3 5/8" H x 4 3/8" W x 2 7/8" D. 2nd item: Miniature coconut with Asian/Indian intricately carved decoration, with conforming hardwood stand. Coconut – 3" H. 4 1/2" total H. Late 19th century. CONDITION: 1st item: Both pieces with old patina, some wear to surface and to gilding on box with mixed metal. Small dent to one corner of middle section. 2nd item: Coconut overall very good condition. Repaired break to leg of stand.
