William McKinley second presidential campaign "Do You Smoke?" pinback button, 1900. Depicts an active factory with smoke billowing from the stacks superimposed on a workman's lunch pail with captions reading "Do You Smoke?/Yes-Since 1896!" with "That's What McKinley Promised." centered below, against a blue background. Marked "COPYRIGHTED 1900" lower center. Does not retain back paper. 2 1/8" dia. Provenance: Private Southern estate. CONDITION: Overall good condition with surface scratches, light denting. 3/4" area of light discoloration, top right. Metal with light pepper pitting.
