Note: Opened in 1900 in Manchester, Vt, the Ekwanok Golf/Country Club was the first eighteen hole golf course in the United States that compared favorably with some of the famous courses in the United Kingdom. It is mentioned in several sporting books. The Isham Cup (named for the club''s first president) was first awarded in 1914 and continued at least through the 1920s. It was the club''s principal tournament. 2nd item: Silverplated loving cup trophy with antler handles, engraved "Ekwanok Country Club", "Independence Trophy Open Handicap July 1-2-4 1904" and "First Prize won by G.E. Morse, Rutland Country Club T." John Frick maker''s medallion to underside. 3rd and 4th items: 2 Trophy glass jars with sterling silver lids, each engraved for the Ekwanok Country Club, awarded to G.E. Morse, including the Isham Harris Tournament 1919 (large jar, runner up) and F.P.C Tournament (5th place, smaller jar). All items with inset Ekwanok Country Club medallions. Ranging in size from 4 1/2" H to 7 1/2" H and from 3 3/4" diameter to 10" diameter. Combined weighable sterling: 10.82 troy ounces.

CONDITION: Some dents up to 1" on larger glass jar''s sterling lid, and minor wear to silverplate on the loving cup, one antler handle detached at lower joint. Smaller glass jar''s lid does not sit flush with rim. Other items excellent condition.
