Note: Known for permanently abolishing slavery, this version was also written in order to undo the electoral laws passed by Reconstruction governor William G. Brownlow. CONDITION: 1st item (Constitution): re-stitched in old, unrelated paper covers, chipping and dampstaining throughout, writing to covers. 2nd item (Lectures): Leather chipped and scratched, previous owner’s name front, some dampstaining, some pencil writing to interior.
