A carved Long Bill Curlew by Alfred Bailey Gardner (Accord, Massachusetts, 1881-1971) with a brown-spotted body and a white chest. Mounted on a wooden stand, supported by a wooden block, and stamped with the maker’s mark on the underside. 10 1/2 in. H x 16 1/2 in. L. 2nd Qtr. 20th century. Note: Gardner was the brother-in-law of renowned decoy maker Joe Lincoln.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition.
