1st item: Augustus “Gus” Aaron Wilson (South Portland, ME, 1864 – 1950) painted and carved oversized Maine Eider hen decoy with a long inletted head. 10 1/2 in. H x 24 1/2 in. L. Circa 1930s. 2nd item: Nova Scotia Merganser carved and painted hen decoy, likely used as a wing duck for sink box or “Tub” shooting. Decoy retains the original paint. 6 1/2 in. H x 13 3/4 in. L. 1st half 20th century.
CONDITION: Both are in overall good condition with light scattered wear, primarily to the breast and sides.
