An early John B. Graham (1822-1912, Charlestown, MD) carved canvasback drake decoy, all paint removed and branded “Dr. Taylor” twelve times. 6 1/2 in. H x 14 1/2 in. L. Circa 1860s. Note: This rare decoy by Graham is notable for its intricate details, including mandibles, nostrils, and a nail on the head. Note the square-cut nail heads on the underside. Graham is considered the “Father” of Cecil County, Maryland decoy style.
CONDITION: Overall, very good condition.
