Grouping of three (3) carved and painted Maryland duck decoys. 1st & 2nd items: Two (2) carved and painted duck decoys attributed to William Heverin (1860-1951, Charlestown, MD) including one canvasback and one redhead drake. Redhead drake with H brand to base. 3rd item: Chesapeake Bay area carved and painted canvasback drake. All ducks range in size from 7 1/2" H x 15 3/4" L to 8" H x 15" L. All 1st half 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Heverin canvasback duck in overall good condition with light scattered wear, minor losses to top of head. Heverin redhead duck with scattered paint loss and losses to tail. Unknown canvasback duck with scattered losses and wear to paint, wood shrinkage to tail and some gunning wear to body.
