Lot 586: Miles Hancock Pintail Drake & John Moir Golden-Eye Hen

1st item: Miles Hancock (1887-1974, Chincoteague, VA) carved and painted pintail drake, likely painted by Norman Hudson. 7 1/2 in. H x 18 in. L. Circa 1940s. 2nd item: A rare John Moir (Smith Falls, Ontario) golden-eye hen with the original paint and a carved “W” on the underside.  It measures 6 in. H x 12 1/2 in. L. Note: Only nine of these were made.

CONDITION: 1st item: Wear and losses to paint primarily on the tail and bill. 2nd item: Scattered wear to paint.
