1st Item: Confederate $1,000 bond, (Criswell 122, Ball 241), "Act of February 20, 1863" on pink paper, with Stonewall Jackson portrait and steamboat with train; No. 25168, signed by Charles A. Rose, Assistant Register of the Confederate Treasury; with three line red overprint and "Issued at Houston, Texas / Depositary" stamp in black; signature endorsement of James Sorley, Confederate Collector of Customs; 9 Coupons remaining.

2nd Item: Counterfeit Confederate $1,000 bond, (Criswell X-122C, Ball C240B) Third Series, No. 5462. On white paper, signed by "J.A. Taylor". No authentic Second or Third Series bonds exist, these were made post-war in Europe and sold to unsuspecting speculators. 7 coupons remaining.

3rd Item: Confederate $100 bond, (Criswell 122, Ball 241), on white paper, with a portrait of Jefferson Davis; No. 10343, signed by Rose; 7 coupons remaining.

4th Item: Confederate $500 bond, (Criswell 124, Ball 192), on white paper; ornate engraving with a portrait of C. G. Memminger, center, and cotton plant at the bottom; No. 4413, signed by Rose; 8 coupons remaining, including one separated.

5th Item: Confederate $1,000 bond, (Criswell 125, Ball 201), on white paper; with portrait of Jefferson Davis, and "dejected" Lady Liberty bottom; No. 32300, signed by Register of the Confederate States Treasury Robert Tyler, son of U.S. President John Tyler; 7 coupons remaining.

6th Item: Confederate States of America Deposit Form (Criswell 175B) No. 4672. Form listing 55 bonds totaling $5,000, deposited at the National Safe Deposit Co Ltd, 16 July, 1886 (After the war, a Confederate Bond Holder''s Committee was established in England to redeem bonds in hopes to present them to the US government for payment).

7th Item: Framed Confederate $1,000 bond, (Criswell 143B, Ball 312); with an equestrian statue of George Washington, Confederate flags and motto "Deo Vindice"; Signed by Apperson; 59 of 60 coupons remaining.

8th – 10th Items: three (3) Plates From "The American Bond Detector", which was published in 1869 to help the public identify counterfeit US Bonds. Including: Plate 6, $100 US bond, on cardstock with portrait of Abraham Lincoln, framed under plexiglass; Plate 16, $500 "Act of March 3/65", on cardstock with green and black printing; and Plate 18, $500 "Act of June 30/64", on cardstock with red and black printing.

11th Item: Essex County Volunteer War Bond, New York, for the amount of $50, dated February 15, 1864; No. 234, "for the benefit of the town of Ticonderoga in aid of raising volunteers". Red Essex County seal affixed to front.

12th Item: Check to William Brown in the amount of $500 for Riot Damages, No. 3675, Dated June 18, 1864. Signed by Mayor Charles Godfrey Gunther. Framed items measure: 27 3/4" H X 20" W and 12 1/2" H x 16 3/8" W.

CONDITION: 1st Item: Good condition, right edge is stained and wrinkled. 2nd Item: Good, toning along right edge, small chip lower right. 3rd Item: Good, with toning along vertical fold lines. 4th Item: Fine condition, unattached coupon pinned to bond. 5th Item: Good, with toning and spots, right edge wrinkled and torn at top right. 6th Item: Very Good, staining top center and bottom center. 7th Item: Overall toning with scattered areas of dampstaining, mostly to left margin. 8th-10th Items: Good condition with toning and foxing, Lincoln with chips along the upper edge and tear into portrait. 11th Item: Good, with hole below red seal, fold lines, handwriting. 12th Item: Very good, upper edge chipped.
