English George III sterling silver sugar basket with decorative pierced sides, repousse oval portrait medallions and cartouche with swag decorations to body, beaded rim and footed base and rope decoration to swing handle and rim, scrolling foliate decorations to square base. Base marked for Burrage Davenport, London, Sterling, 1772. Not monogrammed. 5" H x 4 3/4" dia. 7.080 total troy ounces. CONDITION: Overall good condition with normal surface wear. Likely missing liner.
