Two (2) Model 1850 U.S. Infantry Field Officer swords, brass hilts with foliate pierced decorated guards, wire-wrapped shagreen grips. One (1) blade decorated with foliate designs and military motifs, marked Philadelphia above ricasso, blade: 32, overall: 38; one (1) blade spine stamped 52, blade: 30 1/2, overall: 36" L. Mid 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Oxidation, light pitting to blades. Philadelphia sword with loose grip and guard.
