Colt Model 1860 Army revolver, .44 caliber, matching serial number 69299 on the backstrap, trigger guard, frame, barrel, and cylinder. Cut for stock. Barrel marked "Address Col. Saml Colt New-York U.S. America", cylinder marked (faintly) "Colts Patent No 9299" and "PAT Sept 10th, 1850"; trigger guard and backstrap with "F". Walnut stocks, 8" round barrel, brass trigger guard, standard front sight. Barrel L – 8". Overall L – 13 1/2". Serial number 69299 corresponds to the year 1862.
CONDITION: Good overall, functions smoothly. Shallow pitting along barrel and cylinder, cleaned, light gray even patina, frame shows original bluing. Loading lever with slight bend, not affecting operation. Grips with carved initials on heel, with slight crack along grain, 1/4" losses behind trigger guard.
