Scarce 1894 map of the city of Nashville, Tennessee by Marshall and Bruce, depicting streets and landmarks including Belmont College (established 1890) , the City Reservoir, Jubilee Hall, “City Island,” St. Cloud Hill (site of Fort Negley, not mentioned by name on this map) and newly developing subdivisions to the perimeter of the city. Also featured are several long-gone sites such as the “O. Asylum,” West Side Park Race and Trotting Tracks, City Hospital, City Wharf, the historically black Roger Williams University, Peabody Normal College, etc. Published by the Cincinnati Litho Company, 1894. CONDITION: Very good condition with some light scattered staining and discoloration, light creasing and fold lines.
