Fifty (50) Franklin Mint Sterling Silver States of the Union Series medallions, housed in a navy blue album, each representing a U.S. state and the date in which it became a state. Each medallion weighs approximately 0.46 troy ounces, for a total weight of about 23 troy ounces. Each medallion measuring approx 1 in. (33 mm) dia. Accompanied by a book with descriptions of each medallion. Album measures: 10 1/4 in. L x 10 3/8 in. W x 1 in. D.
PROVENANCE: The estate (Irrevocable Trust) of Waltraut H. Mizell, Nashville, TN.
CONDITION: Overall in good condition, with a select few showing oxidation. Medals were not examined outside the closed plastic case, nor were they individually weighed.
