Lot 527: 19th C. Double Barrel Percussion Shotgun w/ Carved Stock

Double barrel side by side 10 gauge percussion shotgun, with highly carved stock. Left side stock with scrolled foliate terminating in a flower, underside with carved leaf pattern, checkered wrist and forend; Filigree border on lockplates, hammers, barrel flat between hammers, and screwheads. Double triggers, ramrod present. Lock plates unmarked; possibly European origin. 10 gauge. Barrel 38 3/4″ L. Overall 50 in L. Mid 19th Century. 

CONDITION: Both hammers hold half and full, release as intended with trigger pull; slight rust to barrels near breech; general scuffs to wood; Bores dirty w/ slight pitting.
