Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle, with SN#22587 indicating 1895 production year. 26" round barrel, marked with the two line address "MANUFACTURED BY THE -WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A-"; with "30 WCF" at the breech. Full length magazine tube, fixed blade front sight and rear elevation sight. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm with crescent butt plate. Chambered in .30 WCF. Overall 44 1/2" L, Barrel 26" L.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Eldridge "Dit" Shively, White Pine, TN.
CONDITION: Action slightly stiff but functional. 10-20% original finish. Good bore and rifling, slight pitting to barrel and tube. 1 1/2" piece of wood missing from stock on left side behind frame; Scattered scuffs, dings and bruises present to wood; wood shows signs of refinishing, with slight excess of shellac on some metal parts.
