Model 1878 Double Action Colt Revolver, marked ".44" on the underside of the barrel and "44 WCF" on left side trigger guard. Serial number 17335 indicates manufacture in 1886. The top of the barrel is marked "Colt''s Pt. F.A. Mfg. Co. Hartford, CT. U.S.A." The rear of the cylinder is marked "35". Factory hard rubber grips with rampant colt in oval; loading gate and frame under grips marked with inspector''s mark "4"; blade front sight and v-notch rear frame sight; 6-shot fluted cylinder. Overall: 10 1/2" L; Barrel 5 1/2" L.
CONDITION: Overall good condition, with some oxidation present, lanyard ring absent; bore is dirty. Factory bluing on barrel and cylinder faded. Operates smoothly in both single and double action; cylinder advances, locks and cycles as it should.
