Lot 520: Norman Rockwell Signed Sketch w/ Photograph

Norman Rockwell (American, 1894-1978) sketch on off-white cardstock depicting a dog with a pipe, together with the inscription "My best wishes to the world's finest printer, Bob Dothard, Sincerely Norman Rockwell." Housed together with a photograph of Rockwell seated with his painter's palette, holding a paintbrush, and smoking a pipe. Photograph & sketch sights: 7 3/8" H x 5 3/4" W. Framed: 16 1/2" H x 23" W. Note: Robert L. Dothard (1911-1979) was a master printer and book designer who ran E. L.Hildreth and Company for eight years.
