Stamped "Clarence Roe" en verso. Molded giltwood frame. Canvas: 16"H x 24" W. Frame: 17-1/8" H x 25-1/4" W. Late 19th century. 2ND ITEM: S. Y. Johnson (UK fl. 1901-1910) oil on canvas, pastoral landscape of cows at a riverbank and a peasant girl carrying a basket and walking down a lane from cottages. Signed lower right. Gold wash molded frame. Sight: 11-1/2" H x 23-1/2" W. Frame: 15-1/2" H x 27-3/4" W. Early 20th century. Provenance: Charleston, SC collection. Condition: 1ST ITEM: Overall craquelure and creases on each side. 2ND ITEM: Overall very good condition with minor inpainting in sky. Creases in canvas on four sides.
