Norman Rockwell (American, 1894-1978) collotype print from "The Tom Sawyer Portfolio, The Color Edition," 1971, after a painting created for the Heritage Press 1936 edition of Mark Twain's THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER. Tom Sawyer and another boy whitewash a fence in an iconic scene from the book. Pencil-signed lower right and numbered 179/200 lower left. Published by Circle Gallery Ltd., Chicago, and printed by Arthur Jaffe Heliochrome Co., Vienna, Austria. Housed under glass in a partial gilt wood frame wtih fabric mat and brown reveal. Sight: 21 3/4" H x 18" W. Framed: 32 1/4" H x 28 1/4" W.
CONDITION: Excellent condition. Not examined outside of frame.
