US Army Colt Model 1911, .45 ACP, SN 610177, manufactured in 1919. Marked on right of frame "UNITED STATES PROPERTY / No 610177", and on the left side a Springfield Armory S12 Eagle Head ordnance mark; interlaced "HP" mark on top of barrel partially obscured. 5" barrel, wood grips, 7 round magazine. Marked on the left side of slide "Patented Apr. 20, 1897. Sept. 9, 1902 / Dec. 19,1905. Feb. 14, 1911. Aug. 19, 1913" along with "COLT''S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.". Marked on the right side of slide "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY". Retains a BOYT 44 US Army Military WWII leather holster. History: The US Army Colt Model 1911 was designed by firearms inventor John Browning after years of development of various semi-automatic pistols. The 1911 pistol allowed the U.S. forces to quickly reload and was a significant battlefield advantage. NOTE: Most firearms made after 1898 require passing an FFL background check prior to transfer. The date of production for this gun makes it subject to FFL rules. Please be prepared with proper identification and information. If you do not reside in Tennessee, an FFL dealer in your state is required to complete the transfer.

CONDITION: Wear to the finish on the frame, with even brown/gray patina to frame and slide, dark finish remains under grips. Slide operates smoothly, untested but appears fully functional. Bore is clean. Holster with verdigris to rivets.
