Pair of Qing Dynasty Chinese hardwood trunks or low chests, each having two red stained drawer fronts and black painted surrounds with pierced decorative hardware throughout, including drawer pulls with crane decoration and carrying handles to the sides. Each trunk measures 19 3/4" H x 33 3/4" W x 16" D. Late 19th/early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
CONDITION: Both trunks or chests in overall good condition with general use and age wear throughout. Evidence of insect damage on a couple of drawer fronts.
