Two carved and painted duck decoys by Miles Hancock (Chincoteague, VA- 1887-1974) including one drake canvasback and one hen bluebill, both signed on the base. 6" H x 17" L and 7 1/2" H x 14 1/2" L. Both 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Both in good condition with wear consistent with age and use including scattered losses to paint and wood shrinkage. Drake decoy has lost the metal bar to the underside. Hen with rubbing and losses to bill and tail.
