Cole as a captain in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Army. Signed by Roosevelt and Secretary of War Luke E. Wright and dated May 13, 1908. Matted under glass in a reeded gilt frame. Sight: 17 1/2 in x 13 1/2 in. Frame: 21 1/4 in x 17 1/4 in.
PROVENANCE: Private Southern collection.
CONDITION: Overall good condition, waviness to paper, signatures with some fading, a few spots of foxing upper left quadrant. Not examined out of frame.
