Two (2) Ralph Ray, Jr. (North Carolina, 1920-1952) watercolor on paper paintings depicting waterfowl and a hunter. 1st item: Painting of two ducks moving through a body of water while viewed from above. 2nd item: Painting of three Canada Geese in flight above an outcropping of reeds. Below them, a hunter stands in a small boat and holds a firearm and two other geese while six birds swim in the water nearby. Both signed "Ralph Ray Jr" and dated 1946, lower right. Both housed under glass in wooden frames with ivory mats. Both sights: 15 1/2" H x 11 3/4" W. Both frames: 22" H x 18" W.
CONDITION: 1st item with 1" L tear to left sight edge plus minor liquid staining to mat, lower edge. 2nd item with pinhole punctures to upper corners of sheet. Not examined outside of frames.
