Victorian Renaissance Revival vermeil mug or cup in original leather presentation case, by Henry Holland of London. Cup of circular form with matte gilt and silver exterior finish and shiny gold interior; decorated with a beaded rim, foot, and central cartouche (vacant), with bands of raised bosses at upper and lower edge and smaller bosses with engraved triangular designs. The c-scroll handle features a goat or ram's head upper terminus and applied acanthus decoration. Crisp marks for Henry Holland, London, 1868-1869. Original fitted tooled leather custom case with green silk and velvet lining. 6.54 oz troy. 4"H. Condition: Cup is in excellent condition with two scratches to interior and some later scratched number marks to underside. Gilding is in near pristine condition.
