Quang Ho (Vietnamese-American, b. 1963), "Study of an Artist," oil on panel bust length portrait of a woman with long dark hair wearing a red scarf; signed lower right. Sight – 20" H x 16" W, Framed 29" H x 25" W. Biography: Quang Ho immigrated to the U.S. as a teenager. He held his first one-man-show at Tomorrows Masters Gallery in Denver Colorado in 1980 at the age of 16. He attended the Colorado Institute of Art and studied painting under Rene Bruhin, whom he credits with developing the foundation for his artistic understanding. He also is heavily influenced by Andrew Wyeth. Ho graduated from CIA in 1985 with Best Portfolio Award for the graduating class. He now teaches at the Denver Art Students League. Corporate clients include Adolph Coors Company; Upjohn, Safeway, Colorado Symphony, and the Chicago Symphony. His illustration works have been featured in the Illustrators Annual and exhibited at the Museum of American Illustrations and the Communication Arts Illustrations Annual.
