George Headley designed 18K yellow gold and diamond lady’s crescent link watch featuring seventy-six (76) round brilliant and single cut diamonds, approximately 2.04 carats together, Clarity-VS1, Color-I. Cast and assembled links. Hand-engraved on clasp, “Warren Perry, NY, 28730” and hand-engraved on watch face, “Perry”. 4 single-cut diamonds on rose gold dial. 29.0 grams total weight. 6 in. L. plus safety chain. Note: Headley’s account books list a “gold diamond wrist watch” for Mrs. Warren Wright, 1952. (Headley would have been the designer; Perry the jeweler). Exhibited: The George Headley Retrospective, Sept. 29, 2006 – Jan. 7, 2007 at The Headley-Whitney Museum in Lexington, Kentucky (published in the exhibition catalog, p. 26).
PROVENANCE: Originally from the estate of Mrs. Warren (Bertha) Wright, Jr., ex-Calumet Farm, Lexington, KY.
