Andre (Gittelson) Gisson (New York, Connecticut / France,1921 – 2003) oil on canvas impressionist painting, depicting a vibrant springtime landscape scene with two female figures walking through a grassy meadow foreground with tall trees and a lake with a small manned boat in the background. Signed "Gisson" lower right. Housed in a carved gilt wood frame with green velvet mat. Sight: 23 3/8" H x 35 1/4" W. Framed: 31 1/2" H x 43 1/4" W.
CONDITION: Painting with overall craquelure, most noticeable in white areas, otherwise overall good condition. Velvet mat with sun fading and frame with minor abrasions to the lower edge.
