3 piece Chinese Export silver tea set, including one (1) teapot with a hinged lid, one (1) creamer, and one (1) lidded sugar bowl, the lidded items with melon form finials, all with lobed bodies having panels with hammered grounds and angular handles, faint gilt wash to interiors of sugar bowl and creamer. Hung Chong & Co. with Chinese characters stamped to underside of bases. Ranging in size from 3 5/8" H x 5 3/4" W to 5 1/4" H x 9 7/8" W. 31.800 total troy ounces. Second quarter 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Dr. Joe Newsom Rawlings, Davisboro, Georgia.
CONDITION: Light surface wear. Teapot finial is slightly bent. Few dents, largest 3/4" to bodies.
